Read this passage before going further – John3:1-21

What do you do when you don’t understand what you believe is true?

I know that is a HUGE question but I am curious as to how others respond to this circumstance. I was reading this passage and saw how fast Nicodemus was confused and wondered just what was going on in his mind. I mean the way Jesus put it at first had him puzzled! I’m sure I would have been the same way. But through that conversation, though confused, Nicodemus knew that Jesus was the Son of God and that whatever He was saying was truth.

When I find things in the Word like this I just dwell on it for a couple days so that’s what I’m doing with this. I hope some of you join me in this and comment on my page. I REALLY want to know your thoughts. Here’s to growing together!

I was driving down I-40 and noticed a sticker on a guy’s car that said “One Love”…and thats when it started.. I mean, I love chocolate, I love ice cream, I love my wife (she’s [...]

I was driving down I-40 and noticed a sticker on a guy’s car that said “One Love”…and thats when it started..

I was on my way home and the whole way there thought of that..one love. What really is “one love”? I mean, I love chocolate, I love ice cream, I love my wife (she’s hot), I love music…..but what is one love? I know some of those things probably don’t matter that I mentioned but my wife matters…I love my friends….

Then I thought of Jesus. Here is a great example of one love to me. Not just for a certain few people but for ALL people. Jesus surrendered to God and did what he wanted him to do. One Love to God = no discrimination to all, acceptance of all, a helping of all, a hurting for all, a rejoicing with all. But we tend to have a love that = “they look cool to hang out with”, “someone else will help them”, “I have enough to worry about”, “but their smelly”. Thats not one love. One love, I believe, is brought about by understanding who God really is. God is the one who gave his one and only son, Jesus, up to be a living sacrifice for me and you. We have become fickle lovers of people and full-time lovers of our own comfort and self. Are you really willing to give up your comfort to love another? What about that money you were saving up but saw a guy on the side of the road who had nothing and decided to pass him up for what you were getting for yourself (that was me this day). How do we tear down the walls? How do we establish this “One Love”? Well.. I don’t know fully yet…..

But being like Christ is a start….
